sorry if this has been posted... according to official site, we went for chris brown, matthew kilgallon, alan lee and liam chilvers. they were rejected for all of them. i think this says that we are going for the right types of players, just why have we let it go this late? also, would all the answers be the same if we had someone like ridsdale in charge?
If Ridsdale were still in charge, we'd have signed all of them. There'd have been no Barnsley FC by the end of September, though.
RE: I sometimes think I don't know about that. I badly want to see our club succeed. At what cost, though? Surely no 'real' fan would relish the decline of BFC?
Yes of course your right, the vast majority of fans do want success. I desperately want Barnsley to succeed, but I don't think a costly spending spree is the answer. Luton, Crewe, Rotherham or all examples of clubs who have got out of this division without spending money. The likes of Brentford, Bournemouth, Hartlepool have all been at the top end of this division with spending much money. It can be done, but it might just take a bit longer than certain people are willing to give it.
Yep Just because I say that if Ridsdale was here we'd have signed at least one of those players, it means I'm also saying that I want the club to go bust. There's some tw@ts on here. Would Ridsdale have needed to throw money at these guys? He had contacts, something no one at the club seems to have anymore.
Oh Yeah we could really afford Alan Lee(cost £1,000,000) and Kilgallon who will be on at least £8,000 a week and hes not on a "free" its time to get real boys.
what makes you think we left it late? just cos it is posted on official site today dunt mean every enquiry has been done 2 mins ago
