I've been relatively calm about our transfer dealings up to now. But I find it worrying that we don't seem to have had any provisional deals set up considering the management more or less knew they'd be getting shut of the top earners over the last couple of weeks. It's very late when you're in a position of needing 8-10 players, to be hanging around for bids only to be rejected.
Where's it state this? Or has it just been on the radio? Have seen on Andy Giddings twitter that we are interested but nothing regarding wage demands being too high.
The terms were offering players must be pretty poor for players to turn us down. Never mind we will have to lower our sights. Heard Billy Whitehurst and Terry Hurlock are available for free.
It's a shame poggy west end wor levelled, they had some good laikers back in the day! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He was coming on loan so there won't be any wage demands from the player, just agreement between the 2 clubs on what % we'll pay. The player will be paid the same amount as his contract with Burnley states. You can't just state something, with no apparent source and say 'trust me'. At this point you appear to be just pulling it from the top of your head.
Must have been a permanent then, unless they have got it wrong and we couldn't agree with Burnley on %.
radio sheffield believe in 2 teams and we not one of them time they fcked off and concentrated on the deluded 2, #indannywetrust believe we will be ok, remember 96/97 he brought unknowns in and thats whats happening now
lol my old mate billy big balls.....lol...he once nearly got me lynched by the leeds team in the players bar at hull...one tuesday night many moons ago. not many folk know this but he was within hours of signing for us once upon a time but the club got cold feet over a incident that took place in a sunderland night club that painted billy in a poor light and pulled out of the deal **** of thurnscoe for many a year....pmsl. oh happy days......
I liked Billy, bit of a lad to put it mildly, If my memory serves me well I think it was him and Graham Pugh that started wrestling each other in the tunnel and carried on right till they got to the centre circle then just burst out laughing, I thought at the time that if you ever saw those two out together on the lash you would give em wide berth, I bet they could cause mayhem in an empty room.
