    He IS out of contract

    I thought he was to be offered a new deal by Barnsley .

    think thats right - we needed to offer him a deal equivilant to his current one to get a fee

    i reckon this is what we've done - if so, smart move by the club.

    thats true mate but i guess he will be on league one wages from circa 2005? - can't be that much, probably worth the gamble i reckon.
