... We've started Muller in goal in every game except the first Cov (H) Up until Nov 3, Preston (A) we had a sub keeper that was not used. Colgan was an unused sub at the Ipswich game on Dec 1 We continued without a sub keeper until Blackpool at home on Jan 5 when Letheren came on for Muller (half time I think) After that we went back to no sub keepers. Make of it what you will.
tonight no keeper on bench... Muller injured ... nearly fecked us. There's always a chanc e a keeper will be injured or sent off. Worth having one on the bench.
RE: tonight no keeper on bench... Muller injured I'm not sure. The stats don't bear it out much but perhaps a better balance on the subs bench may not have gone amiss. Perhaps Davey keeps remembering the you tube clip of Muller pole axing that centre forward whilst in Norway and thinks he can handle himself ok. or perhaps he's delusional.
1 in 40 games event I think its a reasonable risk on he whole though Muller continuing and possible making worse a nasty looking injury could cost us. I'm hoping for a loan keeper before the weeks out.
He's delusional What's the point of 3 strikers on the bench and no goalkeeper. He's never going to put 3 strikers on so why not sacrifice one for a goalie - just in case. All he needs is one little 'un (Coulson) and one big 'un (Either Stan or OJ)
Ah but....
...how does that stat change when the opposition know you have no reserve keeper on the bench? Muller could be forgiven for thinking he had Davey to thank for tonight's incident.
