I think there may be something in this. A mate of mine told me the same thing yesterday and he has a pretty good record with transfer gossip.

Tell em to stay on the floor laughing, parts of their stadium flooded again last night... Mandaric won't be able to afford the insurance soon.

I think that this O Grady link has some mileage in it..has all the hallmarks !!

    he's played for Rochadale

    he's lower league dog sh*te

he's a centre forward who can't score even on the playstation

he's not tried tested or proven in the championship

etc etc etc etc etc etc

I thought he had played well at Wednesday? He's just not in Dave Jones plans? Someone posted on here the other day.....we pissed ourselves at the next club that signed Jon Walters...

From what i heard on Radio Sheffield they where pretty happy with him.

But hey, you will pick the negativity out of anything and everything.

If we sign him then nice one i iwll be happy with that. Multipositional and will be a good player to have to battle it out with Davies up top.

I think the dee dars rated him but he fell down the pecking order when they sacked Megson. These things happen in football, it doesn’t necessarily make him *****. I think he could do a job for us.

    Hemsworth - your'e easily pleased - you'd be happy with O'Grady ??? christ almighty !

I'd rather have the half time draw man up front than O Grady or dogdirtnall.

The dee dars I work with would be happy to get rid on a free never mind rob us for £350k of our money. They were p*ssing themselves that somebody would even bid for him.

I'm not being negative about O'Grady, just saying how it is - the bloke isn't good enough for us or championship football - but if this is true then yet again another example of the fans having the p*ss took out of them with lower league players.

Him and Dagnall up front for the reds - what a nightmare that would be !!

The like of Fleetwood are in talks with David Healy, I'd much rather have him than a lower league ex Rochdale player.

Hill promised us 5 championship quality players - Ethu you could say is one of them, so 4 to go.

Only a few days ago we had someone telling us their Wednesday supporting mate had said he had done a good job for them but fell out of favour.
I take with a pinch of salt what some fans say once they are letting a player go.....can't expect them to be telling us we've got a good player.

Blimey, the mind boggles at what you're going to say about him if you WERE to be negative.:D

I very much doubt The Don has let Keef loose with 350k to spend on one player as well..

    I'll be gobsmacked

If we spend anything on transfer fees this Summer.
But I'm usually wrong when it comes to football.

The Wendy fans were all over Radio DeeDar the day that O'Grady won them the Squeal City Derby....
I'd be amazed if we were to sign anybody for more than 100k seen as we didn't go back in for Greer despite him being exactly what we need in defence.

ark104 (v2) - I have seen him about 7 or 8 times over last ten years

You won't have seen much of him in the championship as he has spent his career as a lower league striker.

have you ever seen him play ???

Seen him for Leciester, Bradford and Rotherham, plus Rochdale I think when we played them in the cup. Holds the ball up well, bit of pace and thats it, does not score goals. But all that is in the lower league, not at championship standard.

5 goals in 35 games for Sheff Weds last season, so why would he be good for BFC, if we want somebody to hold the ball up might as well keep the lampost that is Andy Gray.

Waste of time and money if this rumour is true.

Re: ark104 (v2) - I have seen him about 7 or 8 times over last ten years

Just wondered given how violently opposed you are to him. He was only 22 when at Rotherham and made only 2 sub appearances for Bradford in Jan 2009 so I think its hard to judge him on that basis, and certainly shouldn't be written off before we even know if we are actually interested in him.

Given Wednesday spent £350k on him then I'm not sure why they their fans think it's so hillarious that someone would bid for him.

And the point you make about Andy Gray - the answer is in the question. Why replace a high earning player in his mid-30s who holds the ball up but doesn't score regularly with a lower earning player in his mid-20s who holds the ball up and doesn't score regularly?

All of which is conjecture as its based on a rumour. But if we do sign him lets see how he does before he's written off
