    it usually pops up under tool bar, asking if you want to install it

    Close firefox and open internet explorer. It's a microsoft technology.

    Thanks for that . Silly me got the name wrong.

    I should have said Direct X.

    Got it sorted now, needed to enable it to get Google Earth working.

    Well,I am deaf in one ear.

    I must have been trying 6 months, on and off, to get Google Earth working again.
    I had lost all colour.Only thing I could get was a white Earth.
