In my haste to view the match online yesterday I downloaded something by mistake on my Mac. Now I've ads all over everywhere I go online including the BBC site!
Any advice on how to get rid please?

I had simlilar after watching the Cup match last weekend. Ended up having a "Survey" crop up every now and again. Ran Virus check that didn't find anything, downloaded and ran anti-Malware and that found 8 objects which it deleted. Thought that had cleared it but a hour or so later got it again. I'd also deleted cookies etc. Eventually when looking through programs found one at the bottom I was unsure of called "Yontoo", I googled that and it sounded like this was the problem, puts up ads etc, , deleted it and no issues since.

That's the one Yontoo - I can't find it though to delete it!

Not sure where you need to look on a Mac. I found it in the list of Programs in the add/delete program list. Should be able to find instructions easily with a search for Mac and yontoo

If you are using Safari then open Preferences and under the Privacy tab you can see "Cookies and other website data". Rather than taking the drastic action of removing all cookies you can see a "details" button. This will list all cookies stored on your Mac. There's also a search to help you locate this "Yontoo".

    Cheers for the help.
