FOR SALE BY OWNER Complete set of Encyclopaedia Britannica, 45 volumes. Excellent condition, £200 or best offer. No longer needed, got married, wife knows everything.
Hard to believe that anyone has such a collection these days. Must have been passed down through family members. On the other hand, it is probably a joke advert! We used to have a set (about 12 I think) in the glass cabinet in the front room, along with the "valuable" ornaments collected over the years. How easy it is these days to find things out just with a couple of key strokes. (or for the lazy gits on here to ask someone to do it for them!) Then you had to wade through such reference books as those mentioned above.
