<h1>TYKES ADAM BID REJECTED</h1><div id="article-body"> Barnsley have failed in a bid to sign Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam.</p> The Tykes have had a £400,000 bid snubbed by the Scottish champs.</p> Simon Davey, who may increase his offer, said: "He would bring a winning mentality."</p></div>
They rejected 400k and are only wanting 100k more? Jeez, are they in money issues? Still don't see us stretching to 500k.
RE: I thought I read yesterday that Reading had already bid £500k? nt As reported in some of national press yesterday, and on Blackpool Official site, said Reading were in box seat.
I think it's safe to assume that the players we are .... ........ bidding for 'publicly' are just pillockers to keep the fans happy, we never sign anybody we have been reportedly chasing, usually because we bid less than other clubs. I'm also fairly sure we have been told in the past that we have a policy whereby we don't make it public who we we are trying to sign, until the deal is done, which adds more weight to the argument that the so called 'bids' for the likes of this guy are just pillockers
People said they wanted more communication and Cryne has said publicly that Davey needs to work on it. Now he's talking to the press he's getting slated for it. F.ck me braindead.
This is not something new, because of what Cryne has said ... ....... to Davey, it's been the same for years, I can remember us offering £150,000 for a young Swede by the name of Freddie Llungberg, the week after he signed for Arsenal for a million quid
Too many mixed messages come out of Oakwell. e.g. Cryne talking to Davey about job on line then different message the following day. It`ll take time for fans to trust the club and its PR machine.
To be fair re Ljunberg... had he not had a stormer vs England the following week he probably would have come to Oakwell...
Mixed messages? You mean like box office players, £10m midfielder then 10 bob wages, significant improvement, mid table, scrap reserves, sign reserve players. No idea what you mean.
RE: Where's he got that from - Being on loan at Blackpool? nt So now we're rubbishing the Adam deal as well. Davey's detractors lose credibility by criticising everything he does.
No, I'm not rubbishing the deal, I'm just asking ...... ...... where he got his 'winning mentality' from that Mr. Davey is referring to, it's a reasonable question I think
