Charlton are interested in signing Adam Davies. Wonder if that would mean Isted would be available if they got him

As long as we didn't get Isted then Charlton can do what they want with him.

Personally, I feel we can do a lot better than Isted. Decent-ish keeper, that's about it. Never got the major love-in for him. Obviously, I would support him if he returned however.

Isted had the chance to sign for us last year and decided not to fairly late in the process. Can't say I particularly want him back, especially if we had to pay a fee.

That’s cos Khaled sold him down river with a shambolic contract offer

I thought Isted was great and I'd be very happy if he was our starting keeper next season.

Standard contract with no bonuses low wages and he was still gonna sign only ended up at charlton cos his agent made him rethink his decision

    Neither keeper for me.

Davies past it now, and Isted, whilst did well, is slightly overrated.

People have a love attraction with Isted. He was decent over a short period. Collins was the better keeper of the two but was left out.

Move on. He chose Charlton over Barnsley. Forget the Duff leaving as an excuse. He still had the opportunity.

We will sign a good keeper. Forget about him.

One thing for sure as much as a couple of strikers is a priority a Keeper is the a must

Let’s be honest if the money was similar who would move north and have to buy/rent another property etc and live away from friends and family especially once Duff had gone.

My son was gutted he didn’t stay. If anyone recalls season before last my son was selected as a junior player so got to meet all the team before the game. My son also a goalkeeper had a good chat with Harry Isted before the game and went out with him onto the pitch and after it he actually sent my son his match worn shirt. After he joined Charlton my son sent him a letter and he actually took the time to write him back too. He’s an absolute first class bloke and a credit to his parents. Just a shame he supports Leeds.

He had been promised a number one role at Charlton but that didn’t pan out in the end until Jones came in.

This was the first time he was picked back to back as I recall.

Agree. He did well, in front of a class defence when the team were on fire. But - most would have done well in that scenario. I think he was overrated overall. Might sound harsh, but I think a better keeper saves that last minute Weds goal at Wembley. But that’s why he’s L1 I guess. No complaints though.

Davies past it? He’ll be 32 come the start of the season, hardly old for a keeper.
Killip isn’t the required standard so for me Davies coming in and mentoring the decent young keepers we have at the club, can only be a positive.

He’s played 40 games in 5 years, and looked rusty when he played for Sheff Utd…. Ask any Utd fan.

Ok, maybe not past it, but I don’t think he’s the keeper he once was…… and he’ll be on big coin……it’s a no for me.
