Deserves another chance in goal, not saying Turnbull has been awful but Davies didn't do anything wrong while Turnbull was injured before and recently he's been making a few too many mistakes for such an experienced keeper.

And if that back problem is still causing problems it needs sorting.

Turnbull has been one of the biggest disappointments for me this season, he's not a patch on Steele.

For me Turnbull is 5 times the keeper than steele, was over the moon when he left.

    Are you serious?

Its not only the ability, but the character and professionalism of players like Steele than we're missing now.

Players who genuinely care about the club.

I think that puts you in a small minority. Turnbull might be a better kicker than Steele was and arguably is better at crosses but in all other aspects Steele is a better keeper. Steele often used to make top class saves - Turnbull rarely does -he makes the saves you would expect most of the time but hadly ever makes the saves you dont expect - Steele used to make those quite often too

Not sure if its his back but Turnbull is also quite slow at getting down - I could have saved the Crawley 4th goal on Sat ( Nyatanga more to blame though)

Am inclined to agree with the OP - give Davies a game or two - if he impresses then Turnbull has to fight for his place back which is no bad thing. -Look at how much better Minulet at Livepool has been since he was dropped for a few games

Steele was dropping clangers every other week, he couldn't read a game at all. I like Steele's professionalism, he was a good ambassador for the club but he wasn't anything special in between the sticks, hence why he's playing in a league with only one good side in it, and he's not playing for that side.

Game of opinions but Turnbull betters steele in every department for me.

He plays every week and has done for months.

How you can think Turnbull is a better shotstopper than Steele is beyond me.

Turnbull played 2 seasons in the premier for Middlesbrough and was touted for an England call up and then went on to play for Chelsea, didn't he play in the Europa league final in which chelsea won?

I feel safe when Turnbull is in the net, he's commanding, better reach, good footballing brain and pedigree, better kicking... i could go on all day. A keeper is only as good as the defence that's infront of him and I feel for both Turnbull and Steele because they've always had absolute garbage infront of them.

I would give Davies a go myself. Turnbull has been average at best. Not even fit to put Steele's gloves on for him.

Steele has definitely been missed this season but I don't think we've seen the best of Turnbull thanks to his back. Dont know why he was rushed back when Davies was doing a solid job.

I respect your opinion and admit that Turnbull has saved us from some heavy defeats...... but Saturday!!!!

He was awful, not as clearly at fault as Nyatanga and Scowen were for goals 4 and 5 but he was culpable to some extent on goals 1, 2 and 3 and as Farnham argues didn't cover himself in glory on goal 4.
