"pretty useless with the ball at his feet" - should work a dream with jimmy :)
"will be looking for the most money and the longest deal" - that's us out then :)

We have 'footballing' centre halves in Cranie and McNulty. We have a speed merchant centre half in Wisey. And we have the 'brains' of a centre half in Hassell.

All we need is a nasty bugger and this fella fits the bill by all accounts. And I doubt Flicker would mention it in public if he thought he had no chance.

I'd be pleased if he comes here.

And think on - the Brighton lot are bigging Matthew Upson up, who is one of the most overrated centre halves I've ever seen. Daggers murdered him at Oakwell.

i really need to be convinced that jimmy is a footballing centre half. he scares the hell outta me when he tries to play football. personally, i think his belief in that is what exposed him massively under keith hill. his best performances for me were post-hill, when he concentrated on getting shut of the ball to someone who could play, instead of c.ocking about with it

i'm looking forward to another wisey-style reformation this season :)

He did cut out a lot of the faffing under Flicker. But he 'can' play. It's just knowing when and where not to. And to be fair, Cranie did a lot of that last season, too.
