Good move IMO reflects his abilities. Left too soon stagnated instead of developed so he's as good as he will ever get.
They're only 2 points behind his former club too. Agree with EN about Rotherham though, think they'll go down.
It was only yesterday he was talking himself up in the Huddersfield Examiner. Mentioned big changes in his life because he's becoming a parent soon. Spoke very much like someone committed to Huddersfield in whatever role they wanted from him be that a position on the pitch or coming on as a sub. Left us too soon and it's sad that the most notable thing he's done since leaving us was drunkenly attack female paramedics.
He was on the back page of the Hudds Examiner yesterday saying how he's now a changed man with a young in on the way and how much he wants to get back into the Hudds team.
Still the best video ever been made of a Barnsley footballer.....see link below...........its just brilliant !!! Whoever made this video - pat yourself on the back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bABYmY4Yag8
Shame it's not worked out for him since leaving us, he was ridiculously good in the months leading up to his departure. And the hat-trick he scored against Huddersfield in pre-season is probably the 2nd best hat-trick I've ever seen only beaten by Rivaldo's for Barca against Valencia
I loved watching him in Robins' final season, I fully expected him to take well to the Premier League with Wolves. But he's been an absolute clown off the field for years now and never come close to replicating that dazzling three months he had with us in 2010. He didn't train at Huddersfield between September and November as he was in rehab. He got his first start under Chris Powell last weekend and Town had just one shot all game and he was absolute garbage apparently. They rested Butterfield and Scannell bizarrely. He's getting shut of the dross, is Powell, that Mark Robins accumulated. Peltier, Gerrard, Dixon, Stead, Gobern etc. For their sake he'll need to replace them with some quality (and with no money) because when you take the likes of Butterfield, Scannell and Hogg out their side, they're very average. Nakhi Wells rarely trusted to start and James Vaughan is up there with Darren Anderton for injuries. Wouldn't be surprised if two out of Huddersfield, Leeds and Rotherham join Blackpool in L1 next season with us (perhaps). I will end though by again describing my enjoyment in watching Adam Hammill for us and I'm a bit sad that he's left Town as I was hoping for him to reignite his career and link up with Jacob etc. He's a really nice lad is Adam, unless he's drunk.
one of my favourite players in recent years. Shame he lost his way. ...and as for being a nice lad... we met him when my kids were mascots 5 years ago. Easily the most friendly player, who went out of his way to talk to the mascots - and at that point he was one of the youngest players there.
