    It's a shame that his legs went so early. I didn't realise he was only 30 when we released him. I reckon if he could have adapted we could have got a couple more years out of him. However, you can't carry wingers.

    Pity they didn't include the video of his goal at Wembley.
    Also noticeable it described him more as "ex Liverpool" who never played for them, but only as "played for Barnsley".

    I spoke to him a few weeks back and I think they were bottom of the league when he joined them.
    I do beleive they stayed up last game of the season, I could be wrong.

    In fairness it's a very short article, it also uses a photo of him in a Barnsley shirt and says 'perhaps most well known for featuring 164 times for Barnsley over three spells.' He is also joining a club on Merseyside, so it would be strange if they omitted the Liverpool connection.
