I know it's easy to speak with hindsight but I know what I'd have done with him today - sat him on the bench. He's only just left Blackpool so they would have known all about him and how to deal with him wouldn't they? I'm not convinced he was playing for Barnsley and not just playing for himself either. Too many fancy-dan tricks for my liking. Last negative point - he was the only Red's player to acknowledge the crowd so fair play to him for that but he was ao enthusiastic in back-slapping his mates in the Blackpool team I was beginning to wonder which dressing-room he'd be going into. Right, now I've got that of me chest, I'd like to say in his defense that I don't think he's that bad a player but today was the wrong game at the wrong time for him and I fully expect to see a different Adam Hammill on Tuesday night against Palace (assuming Davey doesn't drop him of course!)
