BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey has revealed the Club have made a bid for Liverpool winger Adam Hammill. Simon told Barnsley World TV: "We have made an offer for Adam and were told that Liverpool wanted to have a look at him through pre-season. Our offer is still on the table but we cannot just wait around and we have to make sure we have other targets in mind if that answer is a negative one. "On the other hand it is not going to blow our budget if we get the right answer on Adam two days before the start of the season".
Ive been told by an official at Liverpool that Hamill is "A Million Miles" away from the first team which I suppose is pretty obvious but I dont think they rate him.
Which is roughly translated as... Weve offered a pathetic amount of money which Liverpool are currently s******ing at!!! but weve made a token gesture that hopefully will pillock the fans into thinking we were serious about getting proper players to the club. Meanwhile well offer trails to Dean Morgan, who Leyton Orient arent interested in, and a goalie that hasnt played for 4 years. good old davey!!!!
Problem is though Hes not a million miles from being one of the better Championship wide men which brings me to worrying that Davey has alerted the many financially flusher clubs of his potential availability.
Weve offerred less than the asking price, they are waiting for better offers and if none come they will think about it, i think.
