I think the premiership jump was a little premature. Should have spent a bit more time gaining experience at championship level imo. Even if that meant moving to a top half championship team.
A few teams figured him out last season and marked him out of games. I remember going to West Ham in the FA Cup last season, against a poor Premiership side with a winger playing at left back, and Hammill was anonymous that day. The best thing he could've done is stayed with us until the end of the season. The clause would've still been there, but he'd have developed more playing regularly for us, rather than warming the bench at Wolves.
Got to go while you can, only a short career and anything can happen, he might be on bench but he's training with better players day in day out, and if he comes off the bench and smashesa wonder goal in like he did many a time at barnsley, a lot more people will notice.
