A big year for him then. Was largely disappointing last season and ended up on the bench. Does anyone think he could kick on this year basically playing for his next contract again.
I think he finally found a bit of form from Fulham away onwards, so hopefully can take some confidence into the new season. Big player for us and I'm sure the younger lads look up to him. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
See him in the gym every day he's fired up and ready to go. Works himself to the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think he has quality. He just got himself so keyed up last year, I thought he was trying too hard and it was all too frantic. If he can calm himself a bit, I think he'll be a great asset
Yeah, agree with that. When he does the basics he's much more consistent and effective. He's got nothing to prove to anyone other than himself, if he enjoys his football then I think he'll be really effective. I also hope that the small handful in our crowd that barrack him when he tries to take his man on twice, or shoots when he should have passed, cut him some slack. I know he can be frustrating, but I'd much rather that than see sterile, predictable, and negative football. I'm glad he's playing for us and not anyone else. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
If he's back in the good books and get regular starts he could be a key performer IMO. There were times last season where he looked stressed which had an effect on him when he eventually got on the pitch. He also got animated when things didn't go right for him during some games which I put down to the frustration of not being able to hit the standards he'd probably set himself during the 2015/16 season.
Whether his life coach or whether his own mind, he seemed to be thinking of proving people wrong that he could do well in the championship (still). Hs interviews were very much about proving people wrong a lot of the time, and that seemed telling. So when things didn't go right, frustration boiled into tantrums and overly trying. a more Zen like Adam can have a huge impact. He's box office when it comes off and can win/ save matches. For what he's done for us, and that he showed loyalty to stay, I think he deserves support, just like everyone in red deserves.
Agreed he needs to be up for it but a bit more focused. Could be huge for us next year on form. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Probably tries too hard sometimes, his best moments have come from being a bit greedy with the ball, he may have told to pass a bit more if he wants to stay in the team.
Just hope we have a solid left back behind him Adams twice the player with an overlapping left back leaving him 1-1. Off top of my head think he had more assists or same as kent last year with half the game time. Sent from my iPhone using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
Nail. On. Head. White always used to stretch the full backs which gave Hammill the freedom to do his magic. Worked throughout the promotion campaign and against Derby, Rotherham, Wolves at the start. Right footed Yiadom, Elder, Kpekawa, Jones & Evans just couldn't replicate Whites work and a similar player this summer is imperative
