    Surprised no one has mentioned this. Pleaded guilty today, to charges of grooming and sexual activity with a child. I wonder how the football world and specifically Sunderland, will respond..

    There are still some other charges to be heard at the trial too. In light of his first guilty plea I would imagine he'll be sacked and never play another game at professional level.

    Discount the age for a second as I imagine a lot of his personal friends and family will forgive him for that if (as it seems) the relationship was consensual as the girl was 15 not 10 or 11 (still illegal I know) and you have the other issue of her being cheated on and for one reason or another a lot of peoole forgive or at least attempt to forgive their partner if they cheat on them. There is also the fact that they have a young child together which will no doubt be a factor.

    It's an ongoing trial. He may have pleaded guilty but but commenting you're still putting yourselves and Gally at risk of arrest for contempt of court. Better to keep quiet until the verdict comes in.

    Libel and contempt of court are two very different things. This is why you are too ignorant to be posting anything about this.

    At this moment in time the only comments that can be posted are facts. The facts are he has pleaded guilty to two charges. Speculation and opinion regarding the age of the girl, his previous conduct, how his family fit in and so on is very stony ground.
