    Don't know the ins and outs of it, but he had an almost 50% win rate at Fylde.

    Club statement says it's on the back of results and that they're bottom of the league backs that up. Seems a bit premature after they've only just been promoted.

    Controversies and criticisms
    In 2019, the club's ground had a pro-Brexit billboard encouraging the then prime minister Theresa May for a no-deal solution. The chairman David Haythornthwaite, publicly supports UKIP and fracking, is a prominent Brexiteer and endorses Nigel Farage. That same year the club hosted a Brexit Party rally, with allegations of some participants encouraging violence against then Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

    That same year the club's former accountant was jailed for 32 months for misappropriating £240,000 of the club's funds to spend on cocaine, cam-girls and gambling.

    In 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the club was relegated from the National League after it suspended the season which was met with a legal threat from the club.

    It was announced on 28 September 2022 that manager James Rowe had been formally charged with sexual assault and would appear in court on 7 November. He had left Chesterfield by "mutual consent" following a suspension after allegations were made. Fylde had stated that due diligence had been done before his appointment. Rowe resigned one day later following a board meeting.

    Scary P, when ya look at conference at teams who through the 70's and 80's were regular visitors and away days. Alus remember my mate's favourite joke..ther lass said kiss mi somewer mucky so he took her to Grimsby..reight away day....

    Would have had a job with us for as long as he wanted. Decided to chase the coin as Vals lapdog and now getting sacked by a non league club he had bottom of the league. How times have changed.

    With you there T. I've counted 16 teams that I've seen us play in the league. That are now outside the top 4 divisions. (Hard to believe). And am 6 short of the present 92.
    As for my post it was a quip at ex EPL mate rather than EFL teams. :)
