For those in the know, how does the wicket compare to the Gabba? Will pace be as much a factor? Cheers
The honest answer anyone Cricket expert will say is they don't know. I'm no cricket expert but thats what they have been saying. They have changed the stadium to follow some other stadiums and now have drop in pitches in what some call cake tins. The Sheffield Shield matches there have been high scoring games with the highest score 600ish. The test pitch might be different. England in the past haven't done very good on them i don't think. They struggled last year on one in NZ

If it does then England will be very happy. It's something they are very good at. Captain Cooks a big part of that. Depends if they have left any of the old pitches in. They didn't in Brisbane
Its a good wicket for a spinner. I've heard a few people saying that Monty should be brought back for the second test.
Looks like they'll bring Bresnan back to replace Tremlett and Balance in for Trott, with Root moving up to bat at 3... Can't see Monty featuring in this one.
I can't either to be honest because they like Joe root as the second Spinner. At times during the first test he was out spinning Swann. It's something Swanns said hes got a talent in and when Yorkshire did well in T20 Root opened the innings with spin.
Bresnan is certain to play IMO, we have really missed him. I think you're probably right about Monty but I think he'd do well given the chance.
Yep, Root can play the second spinner to reasonable effect and is definitely capable of nicking a wicket or two...
The weather is a complete wildcard It hasn't known what to do with itself this week... scorching one minute then torrential rain the next.
