When I was a kid it was known as naughty kids!

 

Exactly.. load or rubbish. Nothing a belt or slipper round their backsides wouldnt sort out!!

It certainly seems to be a modern society issue. Lack of discipline is probably part of the problem.

Didn't exist when we were young un's did it Ponty. Naughty kids got smacked, end of.

 

I got slippered at infant school. 6 or 7 year old.

 

Exactly. All my Mum had to say to me was wait until your Dad gets home, those words were enough to make me behave.

 

its summat doo gooders and psychiatrists have made up...the latter to justify their jobs

 

Wonder if it's coincidence it became more common after parents were stopped from clouting their kids

 

Didn't get that. mum would smack us if we deserved it.

Also had cane at school...never used to tell my dad when I got home as would get another smack because "you must have deserved it then!"

 

Actually I think it also has something to do with the amount of artificial additives in junk food these days

Yes that as well as a lack of discipline in some cases

 

some kids at school are constantly on edge and one word from teacher and they go off on one.
like at that school in essex.
