    You're thinking of jackets, mate

    Saucepans are made of metal.

I've heard of full metal jackets...

....but I'm on about leather saucpans (or any other sort of leather pan for that matter). Surely someone knows where to get one and if they are better than/at least as good as the normal variety. Not too much to ask surely?

    It's funny you should ask

As I've been looking for some lace saucepans or even some silk ones. I'm sick to the back teeth of cooking my meals in receptacles made of the appropriate material.

i detect a mild hint of irony.

Even though you may mock - my request is a serious one. They work well on gas but not electric (it's a matter of proelombic conduction). I thought that folk on here might know about this but I realise it is a bit late.

    You'll find them in

.. the same catalogue that offers chocolate fireguards, buckets of steam, and nail holes.</p>

    Oh yes..

and sky hooks and bags of volts? You all may mock but they do exist. Back to a trawl through the search engines.

To be fair, I don't know when it's the right time for leather pans.

I was thinking about installing some cardboard windows. They don't let much light in and they get a bit soggy when it rains, but at least you won't cut yourself if you accidentally shove your head through the window.

Ho ho. Cardboard windows. Next you'll be selling pink platter mats.

    Ha Ha!
Like someone new starts at work so you send them up to the stores for 'a long stand'
There's also those left handed screwdrivers!
