Chatting to a Burnley fan on the train after the match. He offered the sage advice if you want to win more games it might help if you took a few shots. He had a point. No disgrace losing to a decent Burnley team whatever the daft hyperbole on many otter threads on here. But it's disappointing to see your team not gave a real to at home in a crucial game. I'd also advocate the development of a second tactic when lumping it up front to O'Grady for the 519th time hasn't worked. Oh hum Onwards and Upwards.
we never mind losing but to do it in that manner, at home, in such a huge game is so deflating it's untrue. Burnley are obviously a decent side, they're getting promoted, BUT did they play well tonight? no, not at all. and yet we didn't have one shot on target. I truly feel sorry for O'Grady
That was the problem though wasn't it and it is that fact that makes people so angry. Its not losing, its the way we lost. We were effing woeful tonight and with a bit of heart and passion we might just have got something from the game.
I am beginning to see that aimless drifted ball from Kennedy to the vague general direction of O'Grady in my sleep
So hence why keep doing it!! Mccourt should have been on at half time and got the ball on the floor. He was class when he came on. Its pretty bad but i was hoping woods was going to have to go off injured when he got clattered and force dannys hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Exactly. I have no idea why he got Man of the Match, because he was very poor indeed. Not his fault mind, because as you say the defence had him in their pocket.
