In Feb this year I had an accident and still it's no where near settled with insurance. Phoned today, my insurance company stated that the other party's insurance are 'ignoring' any contact from them, sent several letters all with no response. Is there anything that can be done legal wise or anything to speed up the other party? Would Citizens Advice be able to help? I'm fed up now of not getting anywhere. Any advice? Thanks.

My daughter had a similar problem a year ago. The other driver wouldn't play, until eventually her Insurance issued an intent to take it to court. He sent her a cheque forthwith.

My experience is that you leave it to the Insurance company who will eventually sort it for you.

Oh well. We'll just have to wait and see then ... hopefully we can get something sorted soon. Thanks

It isn't your problem, it's your Insurance Co's problem. Leave it to them!
