Advice re E bay please

I have a few items to get rid of, like Spirit Mixing Desk and Pair of Stereo Brackenbury light weight speakers. The speakers were quite expensive. can you put reserves on the sale items ?

 

Yes, has to be over 50 quid reserve though.

And it'll cost you a couple of quid.

 

Put em on at 0.01 and get one of your mates to bid on em

much cheaper, cos ebay charge you for putting a reserve on em

 

The danger there is that...

they might not get out-bid and then you'll be saddled with the eBay selling fees (which might end up more than the reserve cost).

I think you can just withdraw an auction. Never done it myself but plenty of lots say something along the lines of "this item is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to withdraw". Even if you can't withdraw, you could possibly edit your listing to say please don't bid on this item and cancel any bids.
