Want to be in football league within 5 years Is greater Blackpool area big enough to support 3 league team's
Probably have a situation where stay away blackpool fans go along and match them in the beginning, like they did Fleetwood, which is ok until they end up at the same level and the animosity sets in. The north west in lives off the scraps the Manchester and Liverpool teams leave behind and only way to get the fans is to be successful like Burnley currently are and most of the other clubs in that region once were. As things stand, if Blackpool, Fylde and Fleetwood all played at home on a Saturday, they would do well to get 10k between the 3 of them. Very sad when you look back at the day's of Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney etc. Their grounds were all full to the rafters. I bet Blackpool was buzzing on matchdays.
The guy that owns them is a lifelong Blackpool fan. Tried to buy them from the Oystons some years back, but they ridiculed his offers and stayed put, which all went well (!) He thought sod you then and bought Kirkham & Wesham instead, changed the name and not looked back. They get plenty of Blackpool fans there - be interesting once the Oystons have been run out of town and the fans go back, to see what happens to Fleetwood's gates.
