Doesn't seem to have been said but i'm well chuffed for Zambia, winning against all the odds. Fitting really that it was in the country where most of their 'greatest ever team' were killed in a plane crash 18 years ago on their way to a world cup qualifier. I'm always up for the underdog winning. Gutted for Ivory Coast because they have gone the whole torunament without conceeding a goal, that is a feat in itself, because for me they have one of the worlds most dodgiest keepers in Boubaca Barry. However with the team they have, i've no doubt they'll be in the final again next year. Ever wanted to know how to take a penalty, watch the shootout, about 12 of the 18 penalties taken were unstoppable, amazing really with so much at stake.
The Copper Bullets won it did they? Have to say I forgot it was even on. Chuffed for them though, always want the underdog to win and no doubting they were the massive outsiders.
Think they were a silly price just to win the final, nevermind the tournament, can't recall what price you'd have got though. They benefitted from facing a sub par Ghana team in the semi's, but by all accounts put in a gritty performance against Ivory Coast to match them for the majority of the game. Must say, I only watched some of ET and the penalties, I reckoned it'd be a walkover and watched Top Gear instead.
