Forgetting about how amazing last season was, our aim this season was to stay up and at the end of this season potentially lose 6 out of contract players. So in May a good season would be championship status and get 3 out of 6 to stay imo. This plan is still on schedule and the club are still pushing on with a team of hungry young uns playing good honest direct football, therefor we are where we wanted to be and we've lost a player that was leaving or paddying for the rest of the season. My view is that Sam was in hot form for now and the unconfirmed reported fee is lower than I think acceptable, but nothing else has changed other than a potentially disruptive influence removed. Undoubtedly stronger with him as well miss his headed goals but we've other good strikers here who want to play for us.
