15:16 Blackpool have bid for Barnet’s Keanu Marsh-Brown. We understand Sky Bet League One sides Barnsley and Peterborough are also showing interest in the 22-year-old winger. The former Arsenal and Fulham academy player has scored 14 goals in his 45 appearances for Barnet.
Berry's not really a winger, though. Even if RNL gets his chance on the wing, be it through injuries, 3 players for two positions on the pitch is pretty light. Suppose we have Cole, but he's probably gonna play up front more often than not.
I think Berry looks good enough. He's had a fair few positive reviews from Barnsley fans and independents alike. He's not a winger though.
I'm talking about him not being good enough on wing, got a decent pass and good awareness of what happening around him but doesn't take players on track back or put enough crosses in to be a winger
Oh i agree he isn't a winger but he plays well there. He was superb against Gills, and ok against Yeovil nothing spectacular, nothing over amazing. good passing. got behind them a few times. He like Winall will get a few goals when he has bagged one.
Re: Winnall has scored ... so when is his next one due I meant Berry will hopefully be the same as Winnall. score one then go onto score more. get him off the mark early.
but Winnall has not scored anymore.... you made it sound like turning a tap on. Which clearly is not the case.
See what you mean now. Personally I think he's done a good job considering it's not his preferred position and a step up of 2 levels division-wise.
I saw him let the right back be far too exposed on at least 2 occasions when we was under the cosh in the second half and he just didn't sense danger until it was too late ether once or twice he's not a winger he made the same mistakes against Coventry too, put a shift in fair enough but that doesn't mean he's a winger
I don't want to slate any of our players, and I'm not doing so by saying this. But I have to make a point. We had a genuine winger on the pitch when we conceded the equaliser. The lad who lost the ball in the build up to their goal. They're young lads, still learning. Give em time, mate. They're going to make mistakes, they're going to look 'lost' etc on occasion. It's up to the older lads and in a way, us, the supporters to rally behind them. To 'support' em. We've endured watching some actual, proper gash this last few years. Especially in midfield. I'll take a young lad like Berry/Jennings over actual dross like Dawson/Shea any day of the week. If they don't blossom into special players, they'll still be no worse than the dross players we've had to sit and watch 'entertain' us for much of the last few years.
I don't think he's ever going to score whilst he's out of position. I think Danny's trying too hard to try and fit Hourihane, Berry, Bailey and Abbot in the same team. That said, if Hourihane Winnall and Lita can all hit double figures or at least get close, any more goals will be a bonus.
If we can strengthen our squad anywhere its on the right hand side, we'll see what happens in the next month or so as to where Wilson strengthens but from what i've seen so far it'll be right wing and or right back if anywhere. i ain't slating Berry i'm not slagging him off and calling him ***** i'm saying he's not good enough in the position he's being asked to play in. we'll see what happens
