aye but we've already got more money by finishing 5th than if we'd finished 6th prize money for finishing position and all that.

RE: aye but we've already got more money by finishing 5th than if we'd finished 6th True, but I'd have settled for 6th and no palpitations - well done lads, proud of y'all!
Not necessarily... ... if we had lost by two or more goals, Nottingham Forest would have had a better goal difference (I think?) Here's the final league table: http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/cc_league1.html
After all the agony of the last few years..... .....I feel very very happy and proud right now. Just a shame I couldn't have been at Walsall today, but have already booked flights back for the final weekend (how's that for optimism?!)
RE: aye but we've already got more money by finishing 5th than if we'd finished 6th I understand the gate/TV money distribution from the playoffs is pooled, and then 50% goes to the league and the rest divided between the participating clubs.
Yes but ... with less credibility and much bigger doubts about being able to reach the final and beyond.
The performance and result today both help to cement our place in the reckoning.
