    Went to a function where he was the speaker a few years ago.  He was superb, very funny and entertaining, loads of stories about his time as manager of Eire.

    Best bit was a second by second narrative of the moments leading up to Geoff Hurst's final goal in the 1966 World Cup Final, mainly focusing on the genius of Bobby Moore who he quite obviously worshipped and misses very much. 

    Signed any autographs you wanted/posed for pics and after the speech he didn't just rush off - he went and got a drink and sat down and talked to anyone who wanted to speak to him until the evening ended.

    Since then I have seen Dennis Law and Phil Tufnell and neither were anything like as good.
