due to an accident on the M1, causing it to take 4 hrs 45 mins to get to Scunny from London, I wish I had bloody well stayed at home watching telly.

I arrived just in time to see the ball hit the back of the net for our goal. Seating - thought I had a reserved seat? What a joke that was.

Tactics were shocking - we were trying to play high balls down the park against a team who had 10 players taller than all but Carbon, and he was standing at the back being a useless carthorse. When we kept the ball on the ground we played some great football, and putting the ball down the centre scared Scnuthorpe.

We could have scored 10, we only got 1. We gave away a sloppy penalty and a shocking piece of defending caused their other. Typical Barnsley.

Roll on Saturday for some redemption against Colchester.

We heard about that accident on M1 but we join at M69 junction just after it so had a completely clear run afterwards. In fact we arrived nearly 2 hours early! Stadium was dreadful. As for the performance - well at least we kept trying and on another day could have had 5 or 6 so I'm not too concerned at the moment. Need the points at Colchester now though - another dreadful stadium!

    RE: Your Pic

I've had a few comments about my pic... But I think yours is a little more controversial than mine..

Colchester is a reight stadium- don't get many away ends these days with one...

...toilet for the away fans. Still a great day out is Colly- we need a win tho!

Think I'll get there nice and early so I can get yesterday quota of ale in ontop of Saturdays. Yesterday took far to long with that M1 jam- could have just done with 2 hours in a pub before the game!

You're right about THE toilet at Colchester. It's for both male and female as well!

what a s*** day I had yesterday....(the company was ok tho!)

Cycled to Moose’s (12 miles) for lift. Gears broke halfway there and leaves me in 1st gear.

Can’t find Moose’s. Ring him, he gives me directions from a different road/roundabout/intersection. Every time.

In car, I try retrieving a message on my phone. Buttons are stuck, so I take out SIM card. Can’t put phone back together.

Late set off means we’re late to meet Harrow, London_tyke and Berserker at Toddington. For once, I think London_tyke had taken a chill pill from the other 2 and I didn’t get too much s***.

Harrow puts my phone together. Still doesn’t work. Realise I’ve somehow lost SIM, despite thinking I’d placed it in the phone.

Huge tailback on M1...lorry and bus have crashed. The others spend their time marvelling at Moose’s GPS system as it ticks down how far we have gone...not very far (in a traffic jam). Christ.

After accident, Moose hits the throttle in his Jag. From looking like 20 mins late we’re outside of ground at 7:35. Only the car park’s full (have they never had a crowd before???) Get to stadium at 7:40 odd with a copper outside asking us to show our tickets. Suitably unimpressed, only one of us bad mouths him (guess). 3 run to turnstile and get in in time to see ball hit net. After all that’s gone on, there’s no way I can be ar5ed to run to ground on offchance we’ll score...it’s not gonna happen anyway...(and I couldn't care if it did).

”YESSSSSSSS”. “I think we’ve scored” (Harrow). Hear chants of “Easy Easy” and guess we might be 2 up. But we weren’t – you F***ING PR*CKS.

Note to selves: unnecessary and/or early gloating will only make the opposition more up for it...and we’ll reap what we sow later.

    Great day...

(I’d say we must do it again sometime, only I think we will...next season, the one after that and so on. A la Donny last year, our lot, fans and players, think they can just turn up at these tin pot grounds, with their village teams...and we’ll roll em over. If only.)

oh, and on Moose's point, yeah, getting to game late, I ask steward where my seat is and he says “just sit where you can find a seat”...THAT’S THE POINT. I cannot actually see ANY spare seats and I see no numbers so cannot locate MINE. Spend 1st half stood up near corner flag. Wonder how I’ll find my dad (awww..) if my mobile is broke and I do not have the faintest idea where my seat is. Good job he’s 6’4”. Everyone lives happily ever after.

    I don't know.

I heard he did but found it hard to believe. Does he?

    let's say he does...

    what's your point?

I'm not trying to make a point.

I'm asking a question. Why don't you want to answer?

    RE: I don't know.

Whenever Tommy sits with us or doesn't is not an issue to discuss on this forum.

If you feel that this is an issue that needs further discussion I for one would be happy to debate it with you prior to any game. You will spot me easily, I'm normally pissed. Mind you that could be any of the London gang!

    So you're refusing to answer?

i'm not sure where this conversation is heading, but i sure don't think it's either necessary or constructive by its tone

It's not something I can answer!

We've had one home game this season and FYI, he wasn't sat in his usual seat. Was he there? I dunno. He wasn't in his usual seat. Why'd you wanna know? Anybody else you wanna ask about? Puffa's moved seats. The kid who kicks the back of my chair now sits in my row. Paddy's still there. And his bro.

I can't really put names to the rest.

No just don't think this is a subject to be discussed here! I can tell you however, that in the area of the ground where I sit there is a convicted footbasll hooligan & a drug user are we going to ban them from games too?

Do you have an issue with people with past histories coming to Oakwell. Please tell me your point.

Oh no I forgot about the abysmal faciities in the away stand. Warks are you and the family standing up again ?

This will be my opening match of the season having missed 2 games as I messed up my holiday dates. My fellow londontykes have kept me posted .

Am looking forward to seeing Hayes play and how Mc Phail looks in midfield. Not sure about the defence but it is eary days and all to play for.

I can't wait to see the londontykes flag again . Last viewed in persil white condition at londontykes recent BBQ.

Harrow have you got the flag ?

Hope to see some of you in the pub on saturday pre match .
