am i right in saying that no matter what happens with hull match, if we beat leicester on saturday then we are guaranteed to stay up? (my mathmatical skills aren't of the best so prob wrong)
i think so as it will mean that for leicester to get 6 points they would have to do it at the expence of sheff wednesday, meaning they would go down ahead of us
difficult though, Cos if Hull beat us they go Top...so we have a stern task tomorrow would be a great result if we do it...but a draw would do me fine
We've done very well against the top teams at home Beaten West Brom, Bristol City, Watford, Ipswich and Wolves quite comprehensively and drawn with Stoke and Crystal Palace. We're more than a match for anyone at Oakwell.
RE: We've done very well against the top teams at home Except Norwich, Coventry, dem Blades </p> But you're right, we've had some top results against the better teams at home. Funny old division though isn't it? </p>
Norwich Coventry and The Blunts? dont constitute top teams though For the enigma that is BarnsleyFC compare http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/vtophalf.html with http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/vbothalf.html Statistically we are more likely to lose against Leicester than Hull
absolutely agree...but non the less its still a Toughie...a draw would do fer me tyhen beat Leicester ...job done then
RE: Norwich Coventry and The Blunts? No you're right, but I actually meant in regards to what Jay said about being a match for any team at home. I was just being pedantic, but was trying to point out how for whatever reason we can do well against the top teams but have struggled against though lower down
