Better to pay £15 a game and be unable to sign anyone?

or the pay the extra £5 and give the club the opportunity to compete in the transfer market?

Our attendances wouldn't go up if we .............

.......... signed Wayne Rooney, maybe a few hundred extra if that, the only thing that gets 'extra' fans to watch us is .....

    1) Sheffield Wednesday at home
    2) Wembley finals
    3) Cardiff finals

I'm not sying it's better to pay £15 a game and being unable to sign anyone, it's the age old argument. people begrudge paying £20 to watch a game of football. £20 is a big slice out of many peoples budget, given the choice they choose to spend it on more important things than footy. It's how society is today. Nothing anyone says, will change the general publics views that football ain't a priority, they will attend when THEY can afford to. Simple!

If my memory serves me well and it's normally faultless. If Gordon could fork out a few hundred grand to sign Kevin Costner, he can bring a ghost team back to play and then we'll probably need a bigger stadium.

We might need a farm and that bloke who played Darth Vaders voice as well.

    It would seem to me

that the club dont do enough to try and get back former supporters or attract new ones. I wonder how much market research the club has done and how much marketting they have done outside the bounds of the Barnsley Chronicle & radio. What have other clubs done i.e. Hull to get large numbers into the ground?

The odd cheap game with limited advertising will never get people back on a regular basis.

The cheaper tickets for youngsters is one excellent thing the club has done but the fruits of the policy will only pay off in the long term.

15 quid is abart what a football game is worth at the end of the day.

    Bored, Bored, Bored

It doesn't really matter what BFC do to try and bring in more fans until there is a sign of glory hunting to be had 'so called' fans won't turn up.

I agree £20 for a game of football is a little pricey but I bet a high percentage of people who complain about the price do go into town (or another location) drink and drink and then go to the gents/ ladies and wash it down the pan!

Season ticket holder since 7 years old and learnt then how to budget t pay for what I enjoy....

Sorry if my views offend people who cannot go for other reasons but for those who do go out its only the price of 5/6 pints at a weekend!

But we'd end up with a team full of baseball legends - wouldn't be much good at football, and they'd only be able to play at home.

What a load of tosh that film was, loads of people had recommended it, so being a fan of baseball I finally got to watch it a few months ago, thought it was poor - The Natural and 8 Men Out are much better baseball movies.

The sums have to add up

the average price to pay on the day in the Championship is £23, so we're generally under that, and how many clubs have a under 12's season ticket for £50? Thats just over £2 a game ffs!!! Given up on the West Stand, but am embarrassed that we cant fill the Ponty and the East Stand these days. Its apathy more than anything. And for those that have been loyal, its a shame cos the club are really pulling all the stops out to push on to the next level, huge investment on the team is what we've been crying out for, and the stay aways arent budging.

Dont anyone dare be surprised if we have to sell a player or 2 in January, regardless of where we are in the League. Simple maths Im afraid.
