    i have the following concerns...
    1. Steeles distribution is either too slow and doesnt spot the wide men breaking fast or trying the counter, or his kicking is poor often going straight in to the crowd. Its time he learnt to kick better, as hes a good keeper.
    2. Whilst its good to watch passing football on numerous times we would mess about too much instead of being more direct. we would often be in the opponents area and end up passing backwards eventually being back at the half way line.
    3. Yesterdays crossing was poor, we seem to want to get the ball wide but then deliver a poor cross.
    4. Corners are wasted... yesterday every corner was poor. They either couldnt get the ball over the first man or were tame. It also beats me why we put our new french massive defender, mvoto, on the front post. Why not cross the ball in for him to run on to, he massive and wins everything. If i was defending i wouldnt want to defend against a massive player like him running in.
    5. We need another striker, someone to play alongside o'grady.

Dont get me wrong this isnt a moan as yesterday was a great day out and we played ok especially in the 2nd half. Conceded sloppy goals tho. I must admit the players look super fit. Looking forward to the new season.

    1. It was a friendly, he wouldn't have been in any rush to distribute the ball.
    2. It was a friendly, we weren't going to go hell for leather punting the ball up field, which we did to great affect last season with O'Grady and Scotland up front. The first goal against Leicester being the prime example.

    Can't comment on 3 or 4 as I wasn't there.

    5. I agree, as does Flicker.

LDRed, as regards to Steeles slow distribution then whilst it was a friendly there was a rush to distribute because Kennedy, goldbourne and cranie all broke away fast trying to counter on numerous times wanting the ball. So they obviously wanted to hit the team on the break. The game was also played at a fast tempo.

You can get banned for it these days. Whereas other "offences" go unnoticed/unpunished.

    I went fishing.

That's how much yesterday's game interested me.

How many were there - £15 for a chuffin' friendly was ridiculous

I'm sure there were far more than that there as away fans, they had to move the divider over twice to let more Barnsley fans in and when I went up to my seat at about half 2 we were struggling to find any seats together.

Looked to be about 1,500 home fans though if that.
