The players were pointing fingers at one another as though to say - its your fault
    No one wanted responsibility
We (or some of us have) been saying since the start of the season that we need experienced Championship players in there to keep the younger lads going
It didn't happen, and we are now reaping the results of that

Davey as a manager has not impressed me one little bit so far
We had Williams in midfield - and now we have our best mid midfielder on the wing
The strength of Togwell was then nullified
Sommert wrong somewhere when a manager does this
    Also the performances of
    Colgan
    Hayes
    Nardiello
    Hassell
    Howard
Have all dropped steeply under this manager

    The positives yesterday
Atkinson goes from strength to strength
    Eckersley looked ok
Mattis showed some good touches and made some good tackles and was unlucky not to score with an header
Kyle Reid had his best game for the club

AND........Constantine was sat in the West Stand.......get this guy playing and we may have a chance of scoring

I think we need to create some chances for Constantine to have a chance at scoring.

Create Chances..............if/when we get Constantine in the team.............then

the loss of McIndoe will be put into focus more clearly
Although we still have Devaney who can cross a ball
We had the best pair of wingers in the league with these two
They were constantly putting crosses in to the middle but there wasen't anyone there to score
Now it looks like we have put that right
But one of the main supply routes has gone to Wolves

But with a 6'2" guy in the middle of attack should create chances for others such as Howard
Can't wait to see what the impact of Constantine will have at the club

    What worries me was

again a tactic was not working, Togwell on the wing and the amount of time it took Davey to change it, you could see from the off it was not happening and you did not need to sub him but mix the midfield around, exactly the same against wendy with williams. I thought mderm managemnt was all about trying to adjust and change tatics?

In all fairness i thought defencely we looked quite solid, howard and hayes linked up well but faded, and our attacking presence is non exsistent.

Mattis looked lost to me, for a midfielder never to show for the ball on thrown-ins is alarming, his positional play was poor, first touch poor, passing poor, decent in the air ad tackle but i t is only his first game.

It does not matter which strikers we have playing for us shear fact is we are not creating anything, i think we missed devaney yesterday someone who does run at the opposition and puts them on the backfoot! If Nards would look up to pass we would have no problems for scoring shame he is gready as hell, also little bemused as why hayes was taken off, but Coulson looked lively, quick and surprisingley good in the air!

However Preston looked ordinary and for large parts i thougt we contained them well, with a few right players and davey been able to switch tatics round sooner i still think will be ok

I think he will transform the team - he knows where the goal is and will put pressure on the other strikers to improve also his presence might give the rest of the team a boost

What worried me against PNE was........................Barnsley Fans !!!

OK, PNE didn't bring many fans and they didn't make much noise for a top of the table team
    But
You can gauge the state of play at the WELL by looking at the reaction of the home fans
    Yesterday there was nothing
A few in the Ponti tried to get things going at one stage but other than that it was SILENT
The look on Barnsley fans faces as they watch the club decline yet again was not a pretty picture

Agree with some of your comments Nudger. Maybe Davey is trying to hard to fix the problem, and to stamp his own team on the field to quickly. The team Ritchie had at the begining of the campaign were playing decent football. At the time the feeling of the fans that if we could bring two or three QUALITY players in, then we probably could survive in this league. Bringing lower league players into the squad is a big gamble and rarely comes off. Constantine in (imho) will make little diference to our attacking options, while ever Davey is messing and experimenting with the team and not playing players in their righful positions then we will always struggle. Like all fans i would love us to stay in this league, on our current form and the players we have , and the transformation of the team to quickly, there is a strange feeling of panick amongst the fans and players. When this virus gets into players minds that they have to win every game at all cost, then their performance drops and the standard of play is bog. We can turn it around, if we bring in quality, we still have time, but it is running out, and fast. (titanic)

agree to me alot of the fans are pointing the finger

blaming the board, ex managers, current managers instead of getting behind the team and club showing our support!

Even when the club was playing well we could not attract extra fans, for me i do not doubt fans love for the club/commitment but i think expectations need to be realistic, especially when it comes to money, you cannt spend what you do not have simple as that!!!!!
