Edison Cavani is about to complete a move to Man Utd. The reason it wasn't done before the weekend is because his agent is wanting £10m in agent fees.

I'm in the wrong game. I could have found Cavani a club, and I'd have done it for £20k

And football fans still act shocked when players force a move, as if its impossible their agent could be dropping poison in the ear for their sell on fees.
This is football now, until the FA and UEFA/Fifa limit agent fees and addons it'll happen forever

Also why people don't understand a free agent isn't free, the player gets a sign on bonus, agent gets fees and then wages on top of course. Some 'free agents' big players can end up costing as much as buying a player from another club

If I was a good footballer I would rather the money went in my pocket than an agents in all honesty. And just retain a good solicitor to make sure the contract was watertight in the way I wanted it,
