I had the choice of 2 games, firstly us at Bury, with a possible back up of Morecambe v Mansfield....both off......in Morecambe's case they have not had a Saturday home game now since 25th October or so....get really poor home gates and are desperate for money.....so re arranged Tuesday night games are a revenue disaster.....one of the games was Portsmouth who normally take a great away following for Saturday games

You could have come to Derby with us but it's a 32,000 sell out.

Three Swedes and I had decided we were going to Bury.

When that became not possible, we settled for Rotherham (the Swedes just really wanted to go to a game, and it has to be today because they go back home on Monday.)

Rotherham was sold out, though. I wasn't going to go to Hillsborough, because I hate the brick-chuckers of Vermingham almost as much as I hate THE MASSIVES*, and cheering for either of them would've made me vomit.

So the Swedes ended up going to Meadowhall, and I stayed at home drinking brandy out of a coffee mug. Happy days.

*And tickets are about four quadrillion pounds each.
