I think the starting 11 are good enough to survive at this level however we cannot expect them to play 46 league games each. We are paper thin as a squad which i feel will be exposed by mid season.
Mid season ? dont you think they look knackered now at around the 60/70 min mark. I thought so yesterday, they just cannot keep up the pace that AR wants them to play at without changes, either during a match when they could change to a holding play set or straight changes in squad rotating round. Cant carry on like this methinks without disaster striking.
It was highlighted agains MK Dons The likes of Wroe and Williams who came out of the academy havent improved enough to be in with a realistic chance of holding down a regular place. Tommy Wright must do something spectacular in training every time to be considered for the bench. Austin and Tongue are streets ahead in terms of progress.

Why would a player with the ability to change a game be on the bench? We are talking-Barnsley not Chelsea.I agree though, the squad is a bit thin.
