How did you find this season? For me and United it was a very disappointing campaign ending as it did today with a 4-0 home defeat to Celtic. We blew the league cup at the Q/F stage losing to 10 man Hearts and lost a winnable Scottish Cup semi 3-2 to Celtic at Hampden. The final 6 fixtures have been disasterous with only 1 win. As for Barnsley, I've watched the season unfold from here and there has been some very nervy moments along the way no more so than the last day of the season. TBH I must give credit to the players and management teams who have all performed brilliantly with the dark clouds of relegation hovering above us for most of the time, and yet we held our nerve and survived. Glad I managed to play my part in cheering us to victory v Hull. Next year, hopefully both my teams will have learnt something from the past season and take that knowledge into next years league challenge. New faces for Barnsley and United is a must if we are to progress and like every other year I look forward to the challenge. TBH I can't wait. The next few weeks without football will be murder. Hope they pass quickly. Anyway guys hope you all have a nice summer break and I look forward to sharing opinions with you come the new season. Ian.
My one love avoided relegation on the final day of the season, my German team were relegated on the final day of the season, and all my friends are going on a European tour(Motherwell)!
It will be interesting as to who they draw. Hopefully I will be through to support the Well. Also St Johnstone in Europe so I've got to hope their home ties don't clash or it will leave me with a decision on which game to take in. Last year I got to both.
I'm more excited about Yeovil vs. Barnsley than anything else if I'm honest, my name is John and I have no life.
A bit of an exaggeration! More than likely it will be a trip to somewhere like Riga or Valletta in the qualifying round. And that's it.
In recent years they've played in France against AS Nancy Wales: Llanelli Albania: Flamurtari Romania: Steaua București Iceland B:reiðablik Norway: Aalesund Denmark: Odense Greece: Panathinaikos Spain: Levante
You have a cracking summer Ian and hopefully its onwards and upwards for both teams, me personally I'd take a comfortable mid table finish for the lads
Excuse my ignorance but did they actually get through any ties?! Am assuming they didn't lose to Llanelli!

I lived in Dundee for seven years in the 1990s and enjoyed trips to both Tannadice and Dens. I remember seeing Drunken Ferguson cause Dundee no end of problems in a derby game. I had some cracking nights out in Broughty Ferry too! Happy days.
I actually live in the Ferry and as you say I enjoy some of the cracking boozers and eateries on offer there. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in the city.
