Official twitter Barnsley FC <s>@</s>bfc_official <small class="time"> 1h1 hour ago </small> Paul Heckingbottom confirms Aidy White has not broken his ankle. Could be a case of ligament damage but a scan is needed. Sorry if already posted but cant see it on here already Would have thought they did a scan when he was taken to hospital on Sat but guessing it was just an X-ray then Hope its not as serious as we first thought and his season isnt over after all
Just depends on the grade of the damage really. Like Hammills against Rochdale you cannot tell until the scan. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
As RedArmyChris says above though it all depends on the scale of the damage Snap a ligament and you are out of action for months a slight strain though can heal much faster
Can't easily do a soft tissue scan when there's lots of swelling, hence waiting for a scan. X-rays look at hard tissue (based on heavier elements e.g. calcium) swelling doesn't affect the image so much.
i was on a Coaching Course over weekend. first practical session, superfit guy leading the warm up. a minute in, crumpled in a heap. fast forward 24 hours: detached achilles, out for 12 months. was doing absolutely **** all, it just went..
