Aidy White - Ankle not broken

    Sorry if already posted but cant see it on here already

    Would have thought they did a scan when he was taken to hospital on Sat but guessing it was just an X-ray then

    Hope its not as serious as we first thought and his season isnt over after all

    is that good or bad? isn't ligament damage potentially worse than a broken bone? dunno..

    Just depends on the grade of the damage really.

    Like Hammills against Rochdale you cannot tell until the scan.

    When I did my ankle ligaments the doctor said it'd have been better to have broken it

    As RedArmyChris says above though it all depends on the scale of the damage
    Snap a ligament and you are out of action for months
    a slight strain though can heal much faster

    Can't easily do a soft tissue scan when there's lots of swelling, hence waiting for a scan. X-rays look at hard tissue (based on heavier elements e.g. calcium) swelling doesn't affect the image so much.

    i was on a Coaching Course over weekend. first practical session, superfit guy leading the warm up. a minute in, crumpled in a heap. fast forward 24 hours: detached achilles, out for 12 months. was doing absolutely **** all, it just went..
