If we do sign him it will be on loan on dead line day, when it's clear no one else wants him on a perminant deal.

I think Rotherham are wanting to get rid of a few to strengthen.
Hopefully the delay is due to negotiations between them and white for compensation?
He's on a decent wage apparently.

A two year deal playing for a team local to where he is now should make up for any drop in wages he has to take. Job security is starting to be more important for players in the lower leagues these days with all the high profile stories each Summer of players not earning contracts.

Or at least you'd hope so anyway.

I'd be shocked if he was willing to take a paycut for the privilage of dropping a league.

Hew as available for a free in the summer and ended up at Rotherham. He either wanted to stay local or there wasn't much interest in him

Think there is a good chance he will be back. Something to do with his contract at Rotherham if he starts 20 times at Rotherham it triggers another years contract. Which they won't want as he is on a decent wage and they could well be in league one paying that wage. They are in same senerio with Lewis Buxton .

Would be the signing of the window without a doubt IMO, they heard anything more than "it's happening"?
