Surely, surely......... http://www.themillers.co.uk/news/article/rotherham-united-aidy-white-2890009.aspx
It will be a kick in the teeth if we don't get him now. Absolute steal on a free. Can't see how Rotherham could have a better left back.
It would be very disappointing if another team came in and got him now but I would've thought he's going to be ours. Is it just me that didn't realise he was 24? I thought he was older than that.
Hope this comes off for us. I think he is a great player and think Rovrum have dropped a clanger here. If we start signing players permanently, then fair enough to supplement with loans, but just don't want a bus load of loans only in this window. No way to build and would rather we use our own young lads.
Just need Wabara to sign on wi us now, then possibly add Kilkenny and an old experienced head up front and that's defo a play off side IMO.
It's good to have kept him around and it's one less loan. However a deal until the end of the season isn't building for the future. Would have thought we'd seen enough in his performances to offer him an 18-24 month deal, unless of course he refused to sign for longer because he wants to put himself in the shop window for the summer so another championship club picks him up for next season.
He's (Or was on) Championship wages with Rotherham. Thats probably the main reason. Hope we can get him on a longer deal at the end of the season.
He's had six games, not been involved in a defensive clean sheet yet and was a regular in a defence that let in two goals in four consecutive games. I hope he improves and we do get him on a longer contract because i'd hate for the development of our own George Smith to suffer just so some bigger/higher club can swoop on another player we've developed come the summer.
great news. stability is what we need now. getting isgrove and wabara for the rest of the season would be ideal. bomb alley sorted
A lad in our office in Leeds has just piped up "I see your lot has just signed one of my family" Aidy is his wife's nephew, the only other thing he said about him was that he was talking to his dad not long ago and he said he wasn't happy at Rotherham. When he's back from his dinner l'll ask him if he sniffs coke or swings for Ambulance women, he sounds boring.
Chuffed with that. Let's hope seeing off the last calendar year and seeing in this new one brings a change in fortunes.
