I'm keeping fingers crossed though boss. Sumerts got to change or it'll be our division that changes. Johnson hasn't a clue.

He made Wednesday hard to beat. It might not be pretty but that doesn't matter; points do.

I might be wrong, but wasnt Stuart Gray a left back?

Player coach would do for me.

Picked up some grapevine gossip about what might happen if Barnsley lost today...& the name of Stuart Gray was mentioned...could see it...
AlanBiggs1 Have you heard anymore on this Allan ?

@gareth17029798 No, just a strongish whisper I heard. Don't pass on all these. But this one seemed credible. We'll see how it pans out now.

No, ta.

The MASSIVES were proper goal-shy under Gray.

Yes, he'd be better than Johnson but, quite frankly, so would my mum's cat.

Dull or not, entertainment is now no longer my primary concern.

Survival is. And that's about as sobering and depressing a thought as I've ever had.

I'd rather be bored rigid picking points up than I would at the minute- bored rigid and losing.

If we appoint someone who has half an idea of what football is about we'll be out of this mess in no time, it doesnt need someone who can specifically come in and get us a few points by playing scrappy football.

Your first choice di canio I loved as a player (when he played for West ham) but as a manager could he manage this bunch and get results in not sure there confidence is already rock bottom without a loose cannon in charge of them. Stewart gray is a safe option and also Burton did a great job last year. But right not I'd rather have mike Bassett take over.

I only hope the delay to the inevitable means things are happening behind the scenes and we appoint while the seat is still warm. Huddersfield style.

Re: I might be wrong, but wasnt Stuart Gray a left back?

He could play anywhere. Left wing, left back, central midfield, centre half. Not a jack of all trades master of non type player though. He was a class above wherever he played. He could score goals too. He wasn't prolific but was good for at least seven or eight a season. He lined up in the Barnsley team alongside Larry May, Paul Futcher, Clive Baker and David Geddis. Now I want to weep.
