Just had a text from a mate at Leicester City with some interesting news. After getting on his high horse for the last week and making a lot of noise calling for fans protests, complaining about ticket prices and policy and anything else he could think of – guess who’s sitting in the Leicester press box today on a freebie? Alan Bloore.ff
I suggest you... ...get your facts straight before criticising from behind a keyboard. Alan was invited down by Leicester to discuss those matters around ticket prices that you mention, and accepted the offer. He's spent the last couple of hours meeting those concerned. You'll never know the amount of time and effort he puts in for the club at his own expense and normally buys his ticket with the rest of us. Have a word with him and I'm sure he'll be happy to explain.
Ok Then So....... i take it he is going to tell us asap what was talked about ? I think personally it's just an excuse to go down for free. Afterall at this late stage nothing could be changed so it's a waste of time. He could have gone down last week for example to talk about it and maybe make a difference. But nooooo he wouldn't have a free match to watch then would he.
Again... ...lots of statements based on assumption and no knowledge of the facts, but I'm not getting into a debate over it. If you read my post properly you'll see he was 'invited' which means on timescales dictated by Leicester - he didn't just turn up and knock on the door - I'm sure they're under no obligation to discuss their ticket policy. You'll also find that his reputation in the game often means he doesn't need an 'excuse to go for free' but except for situations like this where he is spending his own time in the interests of the club, chooses not to. If you speak to Alan when you see him or at a Supporters' Society meeting I'm sure he'll be happy to discuss any of the matters as long as they are in the public domain.
So how many of us If offered a free admission to the press box would refuse and insist on paying - especially when almost all the ticket revenue money - even for away end tickets goes to the home club
Dreamboy don't make accusations... That you cannot substantiate. If you have problems come along to the Trust Office and speak with us face to face. We do not hide behind made up names. After Derby, Leicester is my local game, and a new ground for me. Yet I have chosen not to go because of the ticket pricing. Alan is down there at the invitation of Leicester to discuss the ticketing issues. Alan is also Deputy Chair of the Football Supporters Federation with responsibility for ticket pricing. Therefore I hope that Alan gets the points over, and if Leicester decide against introducing this scheme again where away supporters are penalised then something has been achieved. To be fair, it was highly unlikely that Leicester would change their mind, when some tickets had also been sold at the £22 or £20 ticket prices Owen
RE: Dreamboy don't make accusations... Away fans aren't being penalised! Barnsley fans are not having to pay any more than any other away fans this season.
RE: Dreamboy don't make accusations... When Leiceter fans are paying a maximum of £10, away fans are being penalised for this game. If compared against other away teams, I agree thay are not, but then other away teams have paid the same as the Leicester fans
I won't repeat myself and anyway Owen has already said what I was about to, but Alan is at the game as a guest of Leicester and is sat in the pressbox where I understand he's contributed to the radio coverage. Oh, and we've just conceded
So Alan....... is on Barnsley World and was the guy that when we conceeded said "that is why we are the bottom of the league" ? Owen you said you people don't hide behind fake names. Well what was the parents of Plumber thinking ff ff ff
