Can't believe the death threats he's been getting over a valid point. Man Utd play on Munich anniversary day, Bradford City play on the anniversary of the fire, yet more than twenty years on Liverpool still can't play on April 15th??? On top of that it doesn't help the chances of the champions league trophy coming back to England for Chelski.
They don't seem to have any problem playing on the anniversary of Heysel either. I like Liverpool (and scousers in general) but the do like to portray themselves as victims all the time. If anyone has the audacity to say something controvertial about the place they suddenly become sensitive little girls ... sad really
I think he's spot on. FA ought to grow a pair and tell them that a Mersey Derby in the Semi final at Wembley would have been a fitting tribute.
In my view it would be a nice tribute to play on april 15th... 2 mins silence and dedicate the match to them who lost there lifes
To put a different twist on this i would feel uncomfortable to be in the ground on this day. If i had lost someone in the tragedy the memory would be at the fore and i would feel uncomfortable that the perpetrators were also in the ground as well. By perpetrators i mean all those that went without a ticket with the intention of heaving their way into the ground. How can someone who was heaving their way into the ground on that day without a ticket stand for a minutes silence with a clear concience??
