First Bowie now Alan Rickman -2 people that exemplified all that is great about British arts. Will be greatly missed
Another great gone. Unbelievable how people you spend your formative years watching, listening and respecting all these people and then suddenly they are no longer there. Brings you face to face with your own mortality a bit. Cheerful old me.
People are blaming Aaron Ramsey for scoring last night because of how quickly a celebrity dies after he scores a rare goal.... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CYr06n1WYAETbFl.png
His two great roles for me were the Sheriff of Nottingham, in Kevin Costner's mangling of the Robin Hood legend, and in Love Actually where he played Emma Thompson's husband and got into a mix up with Christmas presents. RIP - another one gone. Grim Reaper needs to stand down for a week or two.
Love Actually = thereev's fav film...... Alan Rickman's character duffed the fit bird (Mia) in Love Actually....who wouldn't have!! he was good in Robin Hood n all as the Sheriff I agree. RIP Alan
I saw Alan Rickman play Hamlet on stage in Nottingham. Long time ago now, about 1992 I think. He was in the foyer afterwards and we spoke with him for a little while, although it wasn't much more than saying hello and that we'd enjoyed the play, but he seemed very nice (and a bit scary). He was terrific as Hamlet.
Either that or I'm in love with my mate's wife. Or both. But yes, I'm afraid to say I fancy Keira Knightley. Struggle to understand how it's possible not to. <img src="http://www.fashiongonerogue.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/keira-knightley-interview-magazine-shoot-2014-05.jpg">
It's not my favourite film by any means, but I don't hate it. It's a bit of fluff and it's nice. It's OK. My wife clings to films like that which I'll actually sit down and watch. She actually loves all sorts, but I'm in charge of the Love Film list and she's getting fed up of sitting down on a Setdi night to watch a Belgium film with subtitles where nothing happens but everybody dies.
