Former Leeds United player Alan Smith has joined MK Dons on loan from Newcastle for the rest of the season.

Leeds thought he was going back there and he signs for MK Dons. Proper laughing

Lucky escape for them I say. One of the most over-rated players in the history of football. How he ever got England caps I will never know. I have watched his career in disbelief at the offers/wages wasted on him. Average at best.

To be fair to him, when he was up front for Leeds when they were playing Champions League football (admittedly an awfully long time ago!) he was a real handful.

For some reason he was converted into a midfielder and went downhill from there.
