Just compensation would need to be agreed after turning down an offer from Colchester.

Moncur would be a fantastic signing for us but this lad is even better.

Makes you wonder really how they managed to get relegated I was impressed with them at home.

 

They have 2 of the best midfield players in the league and Gavin Massey isn't bad either.

Alex Gilbey is something else though.

 

Think you'll find all the effort we put into scouting the best young talent was photocopied and now is pinned to a wall in Bristol.

Lee Johnson will be after nearly all the players we are. Including Gillby.

 

Different budgets so I don't think so. If he went to somebody like Burton Albion or Rotherham, possibly but I don't think that'll be the case. His first signing at Bristol City was Peter Odemwingie, a player we wouldn't go for even if we could afford him.

Agree different budgets, and he'll sign some higher reputation players too. But I bet he's in for a lot of the young talent we're in for. Not to mention cheeky bids for Mawson, Roberts, Hammill and Hourihane.

 

Reports say he is after Gibey.

well that's the first one.

Believe me LJ will try for the guys our recruitment policy identified.

He'll be able to offer them a lot more, but hope players take the same approach as Roberts did and realise short term lesser financial terms will lead to potentially a better long term career.

 

Moncur, Garvan, Massey, Gilbey. Great little players at this level, but all have lacked consistency (from what I've read from their fans). But the reason they were relegated was clear - they can't defend.
